    About OptimizeGEO

OptimizeGEO.ai is a category-defining platform helping brands stay visible and discoverable in AI-powered answers. Unlike traditional SEO that optimizes for keywords and rankings, OptimizeGEO operationalizes Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring brands are mentioned, cited, and trusted by generative systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude, as well as answer engines such as Google AI Overviews, featured snippets, voice search, and AI answer boxes.

Founded by industry veterans Kirthiga Reddy (ex-Meta, MD Facebook India) and Saurabh Doshi (ex-Meta, ex Viacom), and backed by Micron Ventures, Better Capital, FalconX, and leading angels including Randi Zuckerberg, Vani Kola, and Harsh Jain.

    Role Overview

As Technical SEO & AI Search Lead, you will be the day-to-day strategic and technical lead for a portfolio of clients across North America and LATAM. This is a hands-on client servicing role for someone who is equally comfortable running a weekly client call, auditing a site's crawlability and structured data, and explaining to a CMO why their brand is or is not being cited in ChatGPT answers.

You will own the full client experience: onboarding, prompt and competitor setup, technical and content audits, recommendation roadmaps, reporting, and quarterly business reviews. You will turn OptimizeGEO data (Share of Model, AI Visibility Score, citation sources, and sentiment) into prioritized, practical actions that client SEO, content, and web teams can implement, and you will stay close enough to execution to make sure those actions actually ship.

You will be the voice of the client internally, feeding product, data, and engineering teams with insight from the field, and you will support the commercial team on select technical discovery calls, audits, and demos where deep SEO and GEO credibility matters most.

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

Success is measured by client outcomes: measurable gains in AI visibility, strong adoption, on-time delivery, renewals, and clients who become advocates. You will be seen by client teams as their go-to expert on technical SEO and GEO, and internally as the person who turns platform insight into client results.

    • Deliver structured onboarding for every new client within agreed timelines, including prompt banks, competitor sets, and baseline AI visibility reports.
    • Show measurable improvement in AI Visibility Score, Share of Model, and citation share for the majority of your portfolio.
    • Maintain high client satisfaction and retention, with renewals and expansion driven by demonstrated results.
    • Produce referenceable outcomes, including case studies, testimonials, and before/after visibility data.
    • Build repeatable audit templates, playbooks, and reporting formats the wider team can reuse.

    Key Responsibilities

    Client Servicing & Account Leadership

    • Own a portfolio of client relationships as the primary day-to-day contact across marketing, SEO, content, web, and digital teams.
    • Lead onboarding: gather business goals, define priority topics and prompts, set up competitor tracking, and establish baseline visibility.
    • Run recurring client calls, monthly reporting, and quarterly business reviews that connect GEO performance to traffic, pipeline, and revenue.
    • Manage scope, timelines, and deliverables, keeping client expectations clear and projects on track.
    • Build account plans that identify renewal risks early and surface expansion opportunities based on client results.
    • Act as the voice of the client internally, sharing feedback and feature requests with product and engineering.

    Technical SEO

    • Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, page speed and Core Web Vitals, canonicalization, and JavaScript rendering.
    • Audit and recommend structured data and schema markup (Organization, Product, FAQ, Article, and others) that strengthen entity understanding by search and AI systems.
    • Review robots.txt, XML sitemaps, llms.txt, and AI crawler access (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google Extended) and advise on the right access strategy.
    • Diagnose issues using Google Search Console, GA4, and crawling tools, and translate findings into prioritized tickets for client dev teams.

    Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)

    • Design and maintain prompt banks that reflect how each client's customers actually search and ask questions across AI platforms.
    • Analyze Share of Model, AI Visibility Score, citation sources, and sentiment to explain where and why a brand appears, or does not, in AI answers.
    • Build content and citation authority strategies: answer-first content structure, entity and topical coverage, third-party mentions, reviews, and digital PR targets.
    • Deliver GEO roadmaps that bridge traditional SEO programs with AI search, prioritized by impact and effort.
    • Track the evolving AI search landscape (model updates, AI Overviews, AI Mode, new answer engines) and turn changes into client guidance.

    Pre-Sales Support

    • Partner with the commercial team on select discovery calls, demos, and proposals, leading technical audits and sample visibility reports for prospects.
    • Help shape proposals and scopes of work so that what is sold can be delivered well.

    What We're Looking For

    Experience

    • 4–7 years in technical SEO, SEO consulting, or client services roles at an SEO or digital agency, MarTech/SaaS company, or in-house search team.
    • Proven experience managing multiple client accounts at once, including reporting, QBRs, renewals, and expansion.
    • Hands-on track record of running technical SEO audits and getting recommendations implemented by client or internal dev teams.
    • Experience working with enterprise or mid-market brands across marketing, content, and engineering stakeholders.

    Technical & Domain Knowledge

    • Deep technical SEO expertise: crawling, indexation, rendering, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, hreflang, and log file basics.
    • Strong working knowledge of structured data and schema.org, and how entities and knowledge graphs influence search and AI answers.
    • Practical familiarity with how LLMs and answer engines retrieve and cite sources, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews.
    • Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog or Sitebulb, Ahrefs or Semrush, and PageSpeed Insights.
    • Comfort with HTML, basic JavaScript SEO concepts, and spreadsheets or BI tools for data analysis. SQL, Python, or Looker Studio experience is a plus.
    • Ability to connect visibility metrics to traffic, conversions, and revenue in a way business stakeholders trust.

    Client Servicing Strengths

    • A trusted advisor, not just a point of contact: proactive, organized, and accountable for outcomes.
    • Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both developers and CMOs.
    • Strong project management: you keep multiple clients moving without dropping details.
    • Calm and solution-oriented when clients escalate, results lag, or priorities shift.

    Core Competencies

    • Technical credibility: Holds their own with in-house SEO leads and developers.
    • Client-first mindset: Anticipates needs, communicates proactively, and follows through.
    • Clear communicator: Turns data into sharp, persuasive recommendations in writing and in the room.
    • Analytical: Comfortable digging into data to find the "why" behind visibility changes.
    • Curious: Keeps up with a fast-changing AI search landscape and enjoys testing new ideas.

    Nice to Have

    • Agency background with experience across multiple verticals (retail, CPG, B2B SaaS, travel, financial services).
    • Hands-on experience with GEO or AEO tools, or with running AI search experiments.
    • Experience with international or multilingual SEO, particularly Spanish and Portuguese markets.
    • An existing network within the Mexican or LATAM marketing and agency ecosystem.
    • Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
